Steadpoint IT collects personal information through one place on this website: the contact form. Steadpoint IT uses that information to reply to your enquiry and for nothing else. Steadpoint IT does not sell personal information, does not share it with third parties for marketing, and will delete it on request. Steadpoint IT is subject to Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
What is collected
The contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your company name, phone number and a message. Those fields are transmitted to the mailbox that handles enquiries. The form also records the time of submission and the country the request came from, which are used to filter automated spam.
This site ships no client-side JavaScript of its own and sets no cookies of its own. No analytics or advertising tags are currently running on this site. If that changes, this page will be updated to say what they collect before they are switched on.
Location pages embed a map from Google Maps. Loading that map is a request to Google, and Google may set its own cookies as a result. The map is loaded lazily, so it is only requested if you scroll to it.
Where it goes and how long it is kept
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests on servers outside Canada and keeps standard access logs. Enquiries are retained for as long as there is an active conversation or commercial relationship, and are deleted on request at any point.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask what personal information Steadpoint IT holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@steadpointit.ca and it will be handled. If you are not satisfied with the response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this site starts collecting anything it does not collect today, this page changes first. Any question about it goes to hello@steadpointit.ca or (416) 000-0000.
